Spring Has Sprung Nursery Inspiration Posted on 03 May 14:28 , 0 comments

Spring has sprung! Babies are blooming! And mamas are nesting.

If your baby is set to arrive this spring, why not create a nursery that will keep the season in full bloom throughout the year? A spring time nursery is a perfect light and airy theme that’s simple to create and dreamy to look at. To make this look happen, here are our top 8 must-have items.

  1. Priceless Art

This DIY is super easy and something you’ll treasure forever. Use your baby’s footprint to create butterfly wings, then draw in the body and antennas. You could make a new one every year to add to your keepsake collection. Or you can go on Etsy and send in your baby’s footprint (even just the one from their birth record) and they can create the artwork for you!

If you’re making it yourself, don’t feel limited by paper or canvas! Although a framed version makes for great wall art, putting the footprints on a small planter pot looks super cute and can be a great storage space in the nursery!

  1. Wildflower Crib Sheets

When you think “spring”, what pops into your head? Gardens, wildflowers, bouquets…you get the picture. Flowers are an absolute must in for your Spring Has Sprung nursery, and there’s plenty of ways to incorporate them, including these Wildflower crib sheets from Marifly. But why stop at one? Marifly has several cute floral designed sheets that are perfect for this theme, like their Bohemian Floral sheet and Beautiful Whimsical sheet. You may as well get a matching crib skirt while you’re there, too.

  1. Floral Letters

Put a springy spin on traditional monograms and get some flowered initials instead. This can be a fun DIY if you’re feeling crafty or a quick order from Etsy – it’s up to you! Either way, these letters are an essential.

  1. Vintage Rose Knobs

Looking for a way to spice up an old dresser, changing table, or closet doors? These precious vintage door knobs are your solution. Add them to your nursery furniture to really tie everything in together. The beauty of these is that you can take some mismatched pieces- perhaps hand-me-downs or repurposed/refinished furniture- and make them all look cohesive by adding these matching handles. You can get them right from Amazon too!

  1. Blushing Butterflies

One of the first signs of spring has to be beautiful butterflies appearing in your yard. Our Blushing Butterflies print captures the essence of springtime and looks just darling on. For other butterfly inspired décor, take a look at our Blushing Butterflies nursery inspiration.

  1. Love Grows Here

Spring is the season of growth. And you know that from the minute you bring your baby home, your love will only continue to grow. That’s why I love this “Love Grows Here” hand painted wall art. On a slice of a tree trunk, this is a perfect, sweet touch to any nursery with a statement that couldn’t be more true.

  1. Floral Friends

Speaking of wall art, just LOOK at this hedgehog. SO adorable. You really can’t beat cute animals wearing flower crowns. I love this artist’s collection from Etsy- there’s ducks, bunnies, cows, cats, foxes, and more – all adorned with flower crowns. I’m also a fan of this little bunny, which comes from Amazon!

  1. Spring Wreaths

This modern DIY wreath is so cute for your nursery door or even above the crib as a mobile. And the directions seem surprisingly easy! Speaking of mobiles, this DIY “chandelier” is also perfect. Switch out roses for whatever flower suits your fancy for a fun visual for your little one- this mobile looks even more gorgeous when you’re looking up at it!
