Overview
As a Senior Graphic Designer of Brand and Creative Content you will create digital experiences on every channel. In every interaction—from first impression to final click — you will create a unified story and make an emotional connection with our end customers.
The ideal candidate will have an exceptional visual design aesthetic, as well as a strong command of channel best-practices, and will leverage both into differentiated, on-brand, on-strategy creative that gets measurable results—across web pages, Facebook and banner ads, social graphics, email, video, print and more.
Experience and Track-record
• Experience creating content for high engagement and delight of target audiences
• Strong understanding of design lead thinking in e-commerce Strong understanding of customer journey in cross-channel design in e-commerce
• Exceptional understanding of branding and direct marketing principles
• Strong understanding of user-centric design principles
• Experience developing a distinguished visual style and visual story
• Strong understanding of template driven content design for web, social ads, video, print and email platforms
• Strong understanding of mobile first design approach in UI and UX Experience with agile problem-solving with cross channel business
• Specific and demonstrated experience working with assets for the web, social media, digital advertising and ecommerce sites
Responsibilities
• Develop a unique visual personality for the Nested Bean brand Develop design guidelines for brand assets such as product and lifestyle photography, educational and promotional videos, graphics, icon library and infographics to name a few
• Apply the brand’s visual style across the different marketing channels to show consistency yet with a differentiated look for each channel
• Perform competitive market research to design for a distinct and strategic competitive advantage
• Design multi-channel digital ads and web/email UI to meet and exceed marketing goals such as engagement, education and conversion
• Design for web pages, landing pages, blog pages at different stages of customer's ecommberce journey
• Create and maintain brand style guides and visual templates Define and direct visual style of photoshoots.
• Recruit and coordinate with contract designers and videographers
• Provide design direction and oversight when working with internal and external resources
• Hire and mentor junior design talent
• Ensure all design produced adheres to brand standards, leverages channel best practices and reflects current trends
• Proactively help evolve a culture that inspires and encourages innovative, optimistic thinking
• Design and produce occasional print communications, including packaging
Qualifications
• BA or BFA in Web Design, UX, UI, Graphic Design or related field
• 5-8 years design experience in digital and print media (e-commerce highly preferred)
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign
• A strong portfolio that showcases design thinking, composition, and interaction design
• Experience working with eCommerce platforms (Amazon, Shopify) preferred
• Experience working with Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube
• Exhibit strong communication skills and provide clear, strategic creative direction
• Ensure design efforts are managed to strategy, scope of work and deadlines
• Experience with content management tools and project management tools such as Monday, Basecamp, Asana a plus
• HTML/CSS skills a huge plus
• Clean and modern aesthetic style
• Experience in mom or lifestyle content a plus
